Project: Rail Trail Framework Plan | Albuquerque, NM

Wilson & Company provided safety, mobility, and engineering feasibility recommendations in support of Pland Collaborative (formerly MRWM), the lead author of the Albuquerque Rail Trail Framework Plan.

The plan identified the preferred alignment, cost estimates, and implementation steps for a multiuse trail that would run along railroad tracks near downtown Albuquerque. Ben led the effort, working closely with Wilson & Company engineers, to study areas near two termini of the proposed trail. This effort looked at ways to connect the Rail Trail to the existing pedestrian-bicycle network (mostly consisting of sidewalks) and to future phases of the trail. Ben compiled two reports — one for each terminus vicinity — that presented the team’s findings. The reports informed recommendations in the final framework plan.
